CT (Computerized Tomography)

A CT scan is an advanced type of x-ray exam. Multiple X-rays are taken rapidly from a number of different angles around the body and then arranged by a high-speed computer into a cross-sectional view of internal organs.  This technology creates accurate, detailed diagnostic images that show structural details of any part of the body.

Some CT scans, a contrast medium or dye is injected to highlight certain tissues for closer examination. This type of scan helps differentiate between healthy and diseased tissue, making it possible to accurately diagnose many diseases in their early stages.

Advanced Imaging Centers’ CT is a 64 Slice CT Scanner.

In addition, we offer the following CT programs:

  • Low Dose Lung Screening (LDCT): A new screening program for current and former smokers that meet specific criteria. Lung screening examinations are tests performed to find disease before symptoms begin, with a goal of detecting disease at its earliest and most treatable stage.
  • High Resolution CT (HRCT): aids in the diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis and interstitial lung disease.
  • Robotic surgical planning. Robotic-Arm Assisted Total Knee Replacement is a treatment option that provides a personalized surgical plan based on your unique anatomy.
  • PROPHECY: helps guide surgeons by matching patient specific tools for ankle replacement surgery.
